Bridgetown Skate Park

The Graphite Crew travelled to Bridgetown to conduct two workshops with a very eager bunch of locals in late 2009.

Entitled " Spray the Grey" the aim was to brighten up the drab looking walls of the local skatepark. The first weekend was a "watch and learn" approach, with the kids helping complete works on the skatepark itself and a temporary wall which was displayed at the local high school.

The second weekend was a chance to let everyone use their new skills and paint a selected piece onto the skatepark.
A special thanks to Murray and his family for all their enthusiasm in making it happen, cheers guys!

PTA Murals

Together with special guest Linz and Tues from Brisbane, The Graphite Crew is painted a series of murals along the Mandurah train line, plus notice boards for Midland Station.

High school aged students from each area helped with the walls - coming up with themes, colours and designs for each location, then helped to paint them.

Salvation Mural

The Salvation Mural was completed as part of the 2005 Northbridge Festival. Artists from Perth and Melbourne painted the exterior of an inner city warehouse with a number of youth over the festival weekend.

The mural still stands today and is an example of how graffiti art can be an effective way to prevent vandalism - the wall was previously regularly tagged and now the artwork remains untouched.
